About Khalid

(This page isn't linked anywhere… you must like exploring as much as I do)

Khalid Mansoor AlAwadhi is from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. His fascination with technology began in childhood, when he knew early on that his future would be in computers and engineering. That passion took him to the University of Colorado Boulder in the USA, where he earned a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.

During his undergraduate studies, Khalid developed a deeper interest in programming and embedded systems. He continued on to pursue a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, focusing on embedded systems and the Internet of Things.

His graduate years were rich with hands-on projects, from designing factory alarm systems to developing a GPS-enabled device that could track Alzheimer’s patients. He also served as a teaching assistant for graduate and undergraduate courses, and was selected to teach an undergraduate programming course during the summer. Sharing his knowledge and passion for embedded systems with new students became one of his most rewarding experiences.

Outside of work, Khalid enjoys exploring the desert sands and dunes of his home country with his dog, Atlas, finding peace and inspiration in the unique beauty of the UAE after a busy week.
