Khalid Mansoor AlAwadhi is from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He has been fascinated with technology since his childhood. He knew early on that he wanted to pursue a career in the field of computers and technology, which led him to the University of Colorado Boulder in Colorado, USA to earn a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
During his undergraduate studies, Khalid discovered a deeper passion for programming and embedded systems. This led him to continue his education by pursuing a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on embedded systems and the Internet of Things.
Khalid’s graduate studies have been rich with hands-on experience. He has worked on a range of projects, from designing factory alarm systems to developing a GPS-enabled device that tracks Alzheimer’s patients. He has also had the opportunity to serve as a teaching assistant for graduate and undergraduate courses, and was even selected to be an instructor for an undergraduate programming course during the summer. Khalid enjoys sharing his love and knowledge of embedded systems with new students.
When he’s not working, Khalid enjoys exploring the desert sands and dunes of his home country with his dog, Atlas. Finding peace and relaxation in the unique beauty of the UAE after a busy week at work.
